About the firm
The Law Office of Brian J. Donegan, LLC, provides criminal defense services to individuals and represents clients with respect to all types of tort claims, including but not limited to motor vehicle and premises liability claims. The firm has over seventeen years of experience litigating and trying defense cases in District, Superior and Federal Court across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Attorney Donegan’s legal career began working with the Board of Bar Overseers. The Board of Bar Overseers and the Office of Bar Counsel are independent administrative bodies established by the Supreme Judicial Court to investigate and prosecute Massachusetts lawyers. While working with the Board of Bar Overseers, Mr. Donegan investigated and assisted in the prosecution of several Massachusetts Attorneys brought before the Supreme Judicial Court for discipline.
Attorney Donegan later joined the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney As a head Assistant District Attorney, Attorney Donegan was responsible for supervising Junior District Attorneys as well as responsible for the prosecution of State Felony and Misdemeanor offenses within the Middlesex County for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including drug crimes, domestic violence, theft crimes, sex crimes, probation violations, white collar crimes, violent crimes, and motor vehicle offenses.
Attorney Donegan began working as a civil defense attorney at Boyle Morrissey and Campo, P.C. in Boston in January, 2003. As litigation counsel, he was responsible for representing clients in all stages of civil litigation in state and federal courts, representing clients in mediation and arbitration, conducting depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and memoranda, analyzing legal and evidentiary issues, obtaining and analyzing documents, records, and reports, and interviewing clients, witnesses, and experts.
In November, 2005, Attorney Donegan then became Senior Litigation Counsel for Neville Law, as Senior Litigation Counsel he represented various clients in all stages of litigation, including trial, mediation, and arbitration. Substantial trial experience in both federal, superior, and district court. Jury trial experience in both civil and criminal matters. Appellate experience includes representing clients seeking relief from arbitration decisions by the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.
